Recording elements

To add a new UI element to your Desktop Windows project you can create it manually or record each element using Testsigma's Element inspector. This article discusses on how to record a UI element of your desktop application.

Prerequisites

1. You should have an Desktop Windows project in Testsigma. For more information refer to creating a project.
2. Your applications .exe file should be installed on your local machine.
3. Install Testsigma local agent. For more information refer to installing Testsigma local agent on Windows

Steps to record an element

1. Navigate to Test development > Elements
2. Click Record.
3. On the Record element window,
   1. Select the agent from the drop-down list.
   2. Provide the executable file path of your desktop application.
   3. Click Record.
